What will you be drinking with your ice ball?

To find out, we surveyed our 1,778 Kickstarter backers and uncovered a lot of diversity in their answers.

Our first chart shows the overall distribution of beverage types:

As you can see there are a lot of scotch, whisky/ey and bourbon drinkers out there but definitely many other creative ideas for the Ice Baller...even sake, wine, and milk made the list!

Next we looked at brand affinity to see what our backers favored in their liquor cabinet:

In the results there was a strong list of single malts including Macallan 25, Lagavulin 16, Balvenie 21, Highland Park 18, and Bunnahabhain 18 as well as some lesser known but excellent brands like Whistlepig and Hudson. Plus a few lucky Pappy Van Winkle 15 & 20 owners, who I may have to personally invite over for a drink.

Although the majority of our backers prefer their beverage to go straight from bottle to ball in their glass, we also had a number of mixed drinks make the list, here are the most popular:
